Commercial Description:
Hampshire has a huge toasted malt flavor balanced by assertive hoppiness. The finish is long and lingering with the malt and hop notes blending with alcohol warmth. Two row English malts (pale, crystal and chocolate); Cascade, Mt. Hood and East Kent Golding hops.

Bottle. Poured a copper color with an off-white head and some lacing. Sweet malts in the aroma. The flavor also had sweet malts mixed with some hops that give a bitter ending (nothing overwhelming, just right). Medium body with tingly carbonation.

12oz bottle. Strong nose of alcohol fumes and malt, Brown hazy but not cloudy at all. Malt based, alcohol, yeast... and mine has very little hops, at least to me. Good strong ale.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Clear, amber golden with a small, off-white head. Malty, caramelish nose. Medium-bodied, notes of caramel and fruit - yet with a dry and hoppy finish. Very clean. Courtesy of Degarth. 120207

One of my alltime favorites. Easy to drink and tasty all year ’round. I find this to be the best of the southern maine microbrews.

Bottle from Porterhouse; Thanks kevin! Nose is very fruity, roasty, caramel malt and some vanilla notes; copper coloroed with a small beige head; flavor has hop bitterness mixed with the caramel and spice. Different in a good way!

Pours a beautiful deep copper, topped by a quarter inch of soft tan foam. This dies back to a thick film and thicker ring. Minimal lacing. Delightfully earthy caramel malty aroma - sweet and woodsy and maple and cottonwood buds and dark honey. Oh tasty. Sweet and dry at the same time - caramel and honeymalts. Oak and vanilla and hazelnut and leather and maple syrup. A hint of alcohol that begs further exploration. An interesting ’feel’ - it seems light and sessionable and mind-numbingly alcoholic at the same time. Medium-full body, gentle but substantial carbonation. The epitome of balance and construction. Bold yet subdued. I’d trade my chainsaw for three pints of this on cask.
