Commercial Description:
Hampshire has a huge toasted malt flavor balanced by assertive hoppiness. The finish is long and lingering with the malt and hop notes blending with alcohol warmth. Two row English malts (pale, crystal and chocolate); Cascade, Mt. Hood and East Kent Golding hops.

Bought this 12oz bottle from Total Wine in McLean, VA. Pours a deep clear mahagony color with minimal head. Sweet malt aroma. Bitter malt flavor, with some dry hops in the background. Some spice rolls off the tongue, before a bitter finish. Not too bad, but I would expect more.

Julios Spring Beer Festival. Pour of clear copper, rimmed with off-white. Light aroma of dapper sweet pear juice and light lemon malt. Flavor is a planty run of sweetart curried malt and light currants. Moves into a run of spicy yeasts, before wrapping up with a combination of fusels and lightly bitter oaken malts.

Courtesy of Porterhouse <!-- P --> Aroma is mildly spicy and perfumey with caramelized sugar notes (crystal malt), caramel malt and toffee. Body is a ruddy orange with a thin white head. Fore is fruity with apple, pear and honey laden throught he middle with mild hop bitterness. Also some bready malt notes from the middle back. Doesn’t go anywhere unexpected flavor wise, but it is fairly intense and assertive and I found myself quite eagerly knocking back bigger and bigger sips. Nice brew.

Pours golden orange, slightly cloudy with a frothy white head. Citrus, malt aroma with notes of sweet grass (and maybe a little skunky). Flavours are quite pleasant: Citrus fruits, some caramel and fairly strong hop. Full bodied.

[bottle] Reddish color, medium head. Flavors are kind of earthy, strong malts, light sweetness and a fine hops finish. Very nice.

Bottle. Murky golden copper. Creamy but thin white head. Peppy carbonation. Not much to the nose. Nice hops bite, fairly balanced relative to the rest of the Geary’s in this sampler 12-pk. Nothing groundbreaking, but a nice brew for the hops lovers.

Pours a foggy brown with pale edge highlights and a tiny head. Aroma really grows as it warms, with nice velvety milk chocolate, heavy on the milk, nuts and earthy hops. Like eating a chocolate bar in a grassy field flowing with ferns and mushrooms. The taste starts slow with just a bit of an earthy bite, but then grows into a luxurious ode to british malts and hops. The EKG and Mt. Hood really come through in this one. A wonderful example of one of my favorite styles.
