Commercial Description:
Hampshire has a huge toasted malt flavor balanced by assertive hoppiness. The finish is long and lingering with the malt and hop notes blending with alcohol warmth. Two row English malts (pale, crystal and chocolate); Cascade, Mt. Hood and East Kent Golding hops.

Bottle: Orange, copper tint, moderate pillowy off-white head, spotty lacing, very light carbonation.   Slightly spiced bready aroma, soft vegetable.   Sweet malty flavor, still remains vegetal on the backside.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Malty finish, subtle graininess.   Not bad, but very average for an English Strong Ale.   Veggie aspect turns me off from this one.

I got this one in a trade with mkgrenwell, a nice little bonus. This type of beer usually isn’t my style, but I found this one quite drinkable. I don’t know if I could make a night out of it, but it was something I wouldn’t mind revisiting.

from the bottle. poured deep amber with a smal off white head. aroma, sweet berries, honey, cherries, caramel, toffee, malt and hops. flavor, didn’t let me down the flavor was just like the aroma, but the honey took a back seat to the rest of the flavors and got a nice touch of alcohol. a good beer.

Like a slightly sweeter syrupy-tinted brown ale. A pleasantly sharp drinker with notes of spruce, wheat bread, and toffee. Mild vanilla and allspice...? Not bad, a dark brown with a diminishing medium-bubbled tannish head.

A slightly malty aroma and an reddish brown hue to the color. There is a sweetness at first but then the finish is bitter.

vanilla-y aroma. amber color, half transparent. some alcohol and lots of vanilla extract, along with some malts make this a decent but one dimensional beer. nice carmel flavors in the foreground as well. smoooooooth.

(Bottle) Pours deep reddish amber, very clear. Soft biscuit head. Aroma mild malty sweetness. Some lacing. Mouthfeel pretty smooth, hint of dryness. Taste is restrained malty sweetness with a mild bitter finish. Nicely done.

Brown color with a thin head. Bitter aroma has some caramel. Not too complex, pleasingly bitter with some caramel and lots of malt. Decent stuff.
