Commercial Description:
Hampshire has a huge toasted malt flavor balanced by assertive hoppiness. The finish is long and lingering with the malt and hop notes blending with alcohol warmth. Two row English malts (pale, crystal and chocolate); Cascade, Mt. Hood and East Kent Golding hops.

poured dark amber, with a quick to diminish head. aroma is os of sweet caramel. The flavor is hoppy, sweeet, and complex. Great beer, especially from a grocery store.

Pours a clear bight amber with very little head. Smells of sour alcohol and malt. Tastes sour and malty. Smoky. Fullk hops aftertaste with an alcohol bite. A complex malty brew but medium bodied. Had this for the first time last night. Took a six-pack down to Young’s Lobster Pound and drank out of the bottle with a lobster dinner. Damn good out of the bottle and even better tonight out of a proper glass.

Delicous and refreshing. Hops and balance. The best I’ve had from Geary’s. A great piece to have a conversation with at a bar.

One of the better beers I’ve had lately. A nice mixing of both hops and malt, with a faint alcohol bite to it. A bit strong for a seesoin beer, but a taste that gets better with every sip.

Draft at Bukowski, Boston. Poured amber with a thick fluffy head. Very sweet malt aroma. Taste is very sweet in the beginning, less so as you drink it. Moderate earthy hop flavor. Mild alcohol bite. Good beer.

I like this beer a lot. Pours a deep amber brown red with a small white head. Has a nice hoppy taste that is balanced with some mild malty sweetness. I would make this a session beer during the winter. It packs something of a kick.

Reddish amber color with a thin, tightly bubble cream colored head. Sweet malty nose. Lots of toffee and caramel sweet flavors with some vanilla and faint wood. Some salt in the finish. My bottle had a different label, and did not have a year on it like other Hampshire Special Ales do, but I’m confident it is the same beer.

Another good ale. I may like this even more than the bigfoot ale. It’s strong coming on, but creamy and smooth.
