Commercial Description:
Hampshire has a huge toasted malt flavor balanced by assertive hoppiness. The finish is long and lingering with the malt and hop notes blending with alcohol warmth. Two row English malts (pale, crystal and chocolate); Cascade, Mt. Hood and East Kent Golding hops.

pours a bronzy-amber with a white head. aroma is as described; toasty with a strong hop character, some alcohol, slightly earthy. taste is toasty malt, gentle-than-expected hops, some grass. not bad at all, would go great in a session. pretty nicely balanced, though the flavor is not as nice as the aroma leads on. mid-bodied with a frothy, prickly mouthfeel. nice hop-bitter finish that gives way to a sugary coating on the palate. nice webby lacing. not bad, bring one for your pals at your next session.

This was a decent english ale. Poured with a medium to dark english malt color. The two row english malts make the flavor and aroma traditional and the trifecta of hops hide the alcohol well. I had no idea it was over 5%.

12oz bottle. Not very appealing to my pallet. Strong overtones of hops. Bitter to an extent. Definitely something to settle for.

Bottle. Amber body, medium off-white head, sweet malty nose. Very English character, some graininess.

Smells of strong bready yeast and bitter hops, some caramel sweetness. Reminds me of an imperial/double. Pours a nice cloudy dark coper with a small tannish head. Taste is very well balanced hops and malts. Bitter hops with a nice dark malt presence, smooth finish with a nice hop nose, I almost want to sneeze, but not quite. Very tasty, hides the 7% very well.

Bottle->shaker: Pours a thick, off-white head that is fairly persistent onto a dark amber body. Not much aroma other than a hint of sweetness. Has a carmel flavor that is bitter and fruty that has a medium aftertaste.

Copper brown body with a small white head... or maybe that was just my pour. Lacing stays around. Smels of suary malts. Sweet taste with a hint of hops. Some fruity tastes as well. I actually liked this beer. A slow drinking type of beer it was.
