Brewbie (123), New York, USA Apr 13, 2008 12 oz bottle. amber color with a foamy head that disappears quickly. very floral amora. nice smooth malty taste, easy drinking with a light hop aftertaste. not a lot of carbonation which made it seem little sweeter.
dpjuart (549), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 8, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours red/orange with small white, rimming head. Nose is peach, caramel, slight chocolate and a touch of fruity hops. Taste is caramel and raisin, with slight chocolate and mild cherry, and some biscuit. Mild hop finish. Nice sugary sweet after. Not bad. Naka (407), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 8, 2008 Shared with Juart. Pours a very clear amber orange color with a thick frothy cream-colored head... about 1 1/2 fingers. Aroma of some papery hops, peach, artificial pineapple, and a hint of bitey cider. An extremely musty hop taste. A little bit of peach tea and brown sugar, but the hops take front stage. Decent body, but not great. Leaves a pretty strong lingering bitter. Nate (2212), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 8, 2008 From bottle courtesy of dpjuart. Mild fruity hops, peaches, and light butter. Sweet caramel, bit of biscuit. Medium orange-amber clear with thin off-white head. Medium watery body with medium-high carbonation. Light acidity. Starts sweet with raisin and caramel, light biscuit. Herbal spicy hops that aren’t too bitter, but lend a bit of grassy character in the finish. Sweet after with light bitter. Imaena (218), Portland, Maine, USA Jul 3, 2008 Cask, Bottle, Draught... out of the tanks at a tour of the factory.
This is my go to local beer. Deep amber color with fair head retention. Malts are in your face with hops settling in behind. A ripper of a beer at the price point. Be careful not to mistake this for a session beer @ 7% abv. zappafan99 (283), Rock Hill, South Carolina, USA Jun 25, 2008 Amber copper body/ white top. Roast malt and little hops in the weak aroma. Taste is robust malt and good hop finish. Full flavor and body. Alcohol is quite present. Would buy occasionally.
