| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Sep 25, 2007 Bottle. Pours translucent dark brown with a thick tan head. Aroma of roasty malt, and just a touch of soap. Light body and moderate carbonation. Lightly sweet taste with a dash of chocolate and roasted nuts. I’m picking the soap up again on the finish. mhot55 (99), USA

Aroma was of smokey peat with a hint of chocolate. Mouthfeel was a bit thin. Taste was of roasted malts with a slightly smokey taste. Dry finish. I love Porters and this was ok , but not one of the best. jlf278 (255), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Aug 10, 2007 Looks pepsi...maybe a little darker. The aroma is subtle sweet, not bad. Lots of carbonation, at least it covers up the taste. Body a little watery. Not much to the palate.
I found typical porter flavors, but very mild and supressed by metal and dirt. finishes sour and a bit bitter. The commercial description is most right, aside from this beer being rich or complex. Not going to finish this one.
