Has a distinctive apple aftertaste as many pales do. I had heard this was good and I was not disappointed at all. Nice artwork as well on bottle. golubj (1289), Sunnyvale, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 27, 2007 Bottle. This beer smells pretty nice; mostly caramel malt and maybe a little floral hop. Caramel malt is also the predominant flavor, and the beer tastes more like an amber ale than a pale ale. alexanderj (2269), Chino Hills, California, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Apr 27, 2007 Bottle; amber in color. Aroma was of caramel malt and some citrus/floral hops. Flavor was heavy on the malt, with a hop peppering. Probably would be better with some food. Tasted alot like an amber ale to me. Not bad, but not very good. maniac (2628), Richmond, Virginia, USA

One thing can be said of the beer in Maine is that is mostly lame but not this one. I liked this beer a nod to British pale ales and it is outstanding when eating lobster.
