No freshness date seen, no bottling date either. Not much info on this beer at all. Aromas of sweet malts, with a slight hoppiness to it as well. Tastes sweet also, with that unmistakable Ringwood yeast in it. I can't stand Ringwood yeast, so this beer isn't going to get high marks from me. Tasted kinda flat also, not much carbonation.
More like a mild ale than a pale ale, at least in my book. kmeves (1080), Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 25, 2003 It's a fairly standard pale ale. Much better than what most of New England has to offer - at least there are hops in it. DrGonzo (625), Somerville, Massachusetts, USA

Hop bitters in the flavour, light malt background. And bitters that catch you before it goes down the throat. Good beer. beermatrix (1497), Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 15, 2003 Color is clear light amber with a tight bubbled, tannish head about two fingers high. Smells of light bread grain, biscuity, with a nice citrusy hop cleansing in the back, faint malt as well. Taste is super strange but damn good, has a orangey citrus, very crisp and clean with a twinge of hop that drys nicely and has just the right amount of malt backing to balance it out. Feel is light to medium bodied with a tart and sweet tingle on the tongue then dries from hops.
This is a good pale ale and would drink this any Ol' time. Aurelius (2648), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 7, 2003 Distinctive and drinkable. I can't quite place the smell -- sprucey, some vinegar, very light smoke perhaps and a good malt underpinning. Good, deep PA coloring, decent lobster label, slight appearance ding for the twistoff. Wee beads for a head and lots of bubbles. Dry, biscuity (baking powder), almost herbal quality which is screaming for some balsamic chicken, or maybe some Thai food. Reminds me some of rosemary shortbread. Medium hopping, fully brewed. Fizzy mouthfeel. Finishes out lightly tangy and astringent, with more of that herbal quality and light hop bittering. 1more4dessert (231), Upstate, New York, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 7, 2003 holow in the middle, hops kick in with some astringentcy on the finish if you have not given up on it. Too watery - so unless your planning on drinking six out on the water this is probably not going to be memorable in a sipping seminar. For Hennes try the 3F AlphaPale if you want to get back in the groove.
