Commercial Description:
The style of our summer ale is traditionally European, similar to a German kolsch: full bodied with a spicy hop tang and a rich, crystal clear golden color. Alcohol content is approximately 6% by volume.
Ingredients: Two row English malt (clarity, wheat and caramalt); Magnum, Tettnang and Saaz hops.

not a huge fan of this year’s summer ale from geary’s. lacks the flavor i remember from last year. or maybe that was because i drank it out a keg and I drank a whole lot. maybe its just the kolsch thing.

Clear copper-orange color with thin off white head. Malty aroma reminiscent of molasses and brown sugar. Occasionally it smelled a bit like Purina Dog Chow. Fruity and tangy on the tongue with a subdued hop note. Finish is a bit metallic. So so.

[bottle] Pours a gold color- citrusy aroma, some good malt as well. Flavors are full, grassy hops and subtle wheat presence round out to an excellent refreshing (and slightly bitter) finish. This is a very well done summer seasonal beer. I will be picking this up again.

12 oz bottle, via porterhouse. Pours a clear dark gold with a medium fizzy head that faded to a thin film. Aroma is light and zesty with grassy hops and crisp malts. Flavor is on the lighter side as well with a clean wheat base and a soft hoppiness. Finish is short with a slight lemony smack. Mouthfeel is soft and refreshing with moderate firm carbonation. A nice summer refresher, this was a great treat on our first 90 degree day of the year here in PA.

Bottle. Pours a basic pale yellow but with an impressively puffy white head. Good lacing too. Grainy aroma hints at a potentially surprising peppery hop punch. Tastes good. Obviously a light summer style beer but it’s a pleasant surprise that this beer doesn’t skip out on flavor. Some citrus in the finish. One of the best summer seasonals out there.

Ineffable faint aroma. Clear deep golden with nearly no head(tasting cup). Bubbly intense flavour of fruity hops.

Tan, small white head. Looks like an IPA. Malty nose, a touch of bitterness in the finish. I think its summery. SWMBO would probably like it.
