Heck, this doesn’t even begin to appear to be anything like what the other raters ran across. Mislabel? Not certain here. Light amber orange, little head. Somewhat musty sweet candy malt aroma. Belgian character in fact. Fruity flavors, sweet, belgian character again. Maybe this is what happens to the Kolsch when it sits around in the fridge until February. In any case, I found an easy drinking Belgian ale here. Prostman (1077), Pennsylvania, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 5, 2004 Small white head, fair retention and lace. Clear, pale copper color. Stale nose. Light bodied. Faintly fruity, musty flavors, oxydized, lightly malty. Finish is dry. Summers over! Braudog (3770), Dayton, Ohio, USA

It goes down with a woody, nutty bitterness that’s odd for a "koelsch". This strikes me more as an amber ale, with a bit of an alcoholic kick. raymow (738), Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 5, 2004 Clear and yellow with a golden hue and smallish white head. The arom is sour and light, with hints of citrus and spice. Its flavor is sour and bitter together, ballenced nicely. The bitterness and sour flavor blend together at the back of the mouth, leaving the finish somewhat sour. ruggedman (626), Portland, Maine, USA

I really like the refreshing somewhat sweet taste it lends. Well put together as all the tastes work together. I’ll live off this in the summer time :)
Re-rate, my how my early beer tastes were askew. Bringing this down to where it should be. :)
