Commercial Description:
The style of our summer ale is traditionally European, similar to a German kolsch: full bodied with a spicy hop tang and a rich, crystal clear golden color. Alcohol content is approximately 6% by volume.
Ingredients: Two row English malt (clarity, wheat and caramalt); Magnum, Tettnang and Saaz hops.

On tap at a little place in Rangeley, Maine. Pours a amber color with a small white head. Nose was floral hops & grains. Slight lemon background with a hop bite. Also, some grainy breadlike flavors. It was ok. A highly drinkable, session summer beer.

Amber color, almost no head, little carbonation. Semi-sweet lightly hopped somewhat metallic aroma. Hints of fruit and metal, light hops. Light-medium bitterness.

Pretty damned good for a style i dislike. Anice dark golden color with a medium size white head. Aroma was on the hoppy side but did have some nice sweet notes and a little fruitiness. Flavor had a good hop profile and some nice malts to balance it out. Flavor was very similar to the aroma. A solid beer for the summer.

Bottle and Draught 08’. Citrus nose with golden color. Some butter and strange malt flavour going on. I have noticed differences in the batches. I have some great 12’s of this and some skunks. Buyer beware.

This is a very nice, tasty, well-rounded, yet very drinkable beer that goes well with food. A lightish amber, it has a medium, off-white head that steadily diminished to a thin, wispy, alsting top. The aroma is lemon, grain, grapes, raisines, a hint of zesty wine alcohol, bread. The taste has great balance of sweet and bitter, with both being consistent and persistent throughout the drink yet restrained. It is slightly flowery lemon and bread with raisins, grapes, a hint of buttery caramel, a light wine quality, light alcoholic spiciness. It is tasty, zesty, light but interesting, consistent, highly drinkable, and goes really well with food.

Orangey-amber colour. Decent nose has caramel, diacetyl. Lightly fruity palate, a little overwhelming on the diacetyl. Not so summery in that respect. And I’ve never had a butterbomb kolsch before.

Draft. Deep golden copper body with thin head. Aroma is fruity and floral. Flavor is light fruit, bready, light spices. Quite refreshing and a very fresh clean taste to it. I’m not sure if the bottles would live up to the fresh beer I had on draft.

Draught, $3 Deweys. Clear, bright golden yellow. No lace. Some rubbing alcohol in nose. Sweet, phenolic. Band aids. Messy and disappointing.
