Overall it was just average but the flavor was nice but it did go down a little hard. 2beerguys (299), North Shore, Massachusetts, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 14, 2007 This was the second of the summer reviews. Nothing too special, but better than most light ales. Pours a cloudy white color, settles a medium, clear yellow. Small, fizzy off-white head, virtually no lacing behind a fully diminishing head. Aroma is of light cookie malts and light yeast. Initial taste is lightly acidic, finishing a light bitter with average duration. Light to medium on the mouth, it leaves us oily with flat carbonation.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 16, 2007 Not familiar with Kolsch style. Hoppy, wheaty tasting, tastes like a British take on a German style. Hop and body were present but possibly underdone.
Brought down from Maine after a wedding. Tasty excursion from dark beer and malty favorites on a winter evening. Silphium (2139), Haslett, Michigan, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 1, 2006 Straw-colored body, thin off-white head. Aroma of corn, sugar, and light cookie with grassy hops. Sweet, biscuity body, hints of clover honey, marred by a strange vegetal taste towards the finish with a touch of cardboard. Minus this flaw, rather tasty. hopscotch (5507), Vero Beach, Florida, USA

Biscuity malt, maple syrup, beef stock and cereal grains in the aroma. Medicinal, medium sweet, lightly bitter flavor. Medium-bodied and lightly creamy with moderate carbonation. Lightly sweet, sugar cookie finish. mephisto (1144), Taiwan

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Sep 9, 2006 A summer ale at 6%? Did know that before drinking when the alcohol showed up relative to what I was anticipating. Anyway, the aroma was lemony more than anything else. Flavor was again lemony, alcohol notes, and a touch of caramel and herbs. A koelsch? You’ve gotta be kidding me, not even close imo. My least favorite of the 3 Gearys I did tonite. hophead75 (1962), Boonton, New Jersey, USA
