The aroma is sweet caramelic, and light notes of alcohol and hops, but also with a slight sour note - a little like sweaty feet. The flavor is sweet alcohol with powerful hop notes. kp (8399), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Nov 6, 2003 Bronze colour. Aroma is raspberry, butter, earthy hops – holy Ringwood! Candyish flavour. Sweet and fruity. Astringent minerally note. Finish grows more bitter, but not enough to save it. Based on this and other recent Geary samples, I think maybe they’ve lost control of their yeast. This is ugly. Emil (6074), Copenhagen, Denmark

Aroma of semi-dry grainy malts with a touch of grapefruity hops. Body starts thin and mostly dry with some earthy bitterness and a drier finish. Needs more sweetness and flavor hops with less bittering hops. jcwattsrugger (5333), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 6, 2004 Buttery oranges quarrying light hops worrying under the creamy yeast burying anything interesting from the quiet ending...This endeavour of subdued flour is in favour of faint peppery spiciness whilst being unable of any fervour...Apart from the fact that it is bottled for winter, I don't see what's wintery about this IPA/mellow Belgian ale crossover...
