Commercial Description:
Abbey Blonde We have endeavored to produce an Abbey Blonde ale in the Belgian tradition. Brewed with imported malt, hops, and cane sugar, our Belgian yeast blend produced a spicy, floral, perfumy beer with a dry finish. Pepper, rosehips, and sage come to mind. 6.7% ABV, 25 IBU

Draft: Poured a hazy yellow color with a nice sized white head. The aroma was that of bananas, yeast, pepper, and slight cloves. The flavor was really good with a sweet malty taste. My overall impression was this was a very good quality beer, one I’d definitely drink again.

On tap at the GLI. Poured a medium golden color with a smaller sized whit head. Aromas of fruitiness, bananas, spices, and yeast. Tastes of the same with some candi sugar sweetness.

Draft. Hazy deep gold pour with aroma of yeasty malt, some spices, floral notes, and candi sugary notes. Medium body, with some citrus, spices, florals, yeast, and candi sugary malt taste notes. Pretty good.

Enjoyable flavors of yeast/pepper/malt well blended in this Belgian style Ale. Abbey Blonde also had earthy flavors I’m assuming from the rosehips and sage.

Good belgium, perhaps I drank too much of it. I liked it overal...Decent white size head, yellowidh in color, but too long of a yeast/grainy aftertaste...Hints of earthy herbs. Not my favorite from the General.

Philly Craft Beer Festival. Small plastic sample cup. Clear yellow with a frothy white head. Apple, perfume and yeast. Belgian funk, pepper and, yes, I get some sage. Very nice take on the style. Well balanced but could use a bit more nuance.
