The aroma was that of bananas, yeast, pepper, and slight cloves. The flavor was really good with a sweet malty taste. My overall impression was this was a very good quality beer, one I’d definitely drink again. hopdog (5612), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 10, 2007 Enjoyable flavors of yeast/pepper/malt well blended in this Belgian style Ale. Abbey Blonde also had earthy flavors I’m assuming from the rosehips and sage. Ty5592 (1015), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 5, 2007 Good belgium, perhaps I drank too much of it. I liked it overal...Decent white size head, yellowidh in color, but too long of a yeast/grainy aftertaste...Hints of earthy herbs. Not my favorite from the General. Apple, perfume and yeast. Belgian funk, pepper and, yes, I get some sage. Very nice take on the style. Well balanced but could use a bit more nuance.
