Jul 19, 2004 Good biscuit smell. Balanced malt, sticky sweet. Finish is clean but not over-bitter. Seems like alts are "sticke" beers, ha ha. Okay. I’ll shut up now. Bottom line: good sweetness, a touch of fruitiness from the hops. Flavorful.

Jul 18, 2004 Sample at the Philly gathering, July 10. Darkish amber, very sweet, lightly smoky/bready nose. Bit of dark fruits in the flavor, dry and bitter late. Some nice stuff here, but doesn’t totally add up.

Jul 15, 2004 Updated: Dec 10, 2004A personal favorite of mine. Pours a rich dark amber giving off an aroma that is very hoppy. On the palate the beer is extremely smooth with just the right amount of yeast to compliment the flavors. A good representation of the style throughout the glass and a welcome addition to my beers list.
