Commercial Description:
Still one of our favorite specialty beers, it won a major award back in the day when it was young and hungry. Older, wiser, but still delicious, this dark amber colored Dusseldorf-style Altbier is flavorful and crisp with a dry finish.

A personal favorite of mine. Pours a rich dark amber giving off an aroma that is very hoppy. On the palate the beer is extremely smooth with just the right amount of yeast to compliment the flavors. A good representation of the style throughout the glass and a welcome addition to my beers list.

Poured a copper color with no head or lacing. Light fruity, citrus mild hop aroma. Taste was of light malts, some fruit, and citrus hops as well. Beautiful alt.

Good biscuit smell. Balanced malt, sticky sweet. Finish is clean but not over-bitter. Seems like alts are "sticke" beers, ha ha. Okay. I’ll shut up now. Bottom line: good sweetness, a touch of fruitiness from the hops. Flavorful.

Tap at the brewpub. Clear orange, white head. Peppery licorice aroma. Hoppy malty flavor. Clean and crisp.

Crystal clear deep rusty amber body with a creamy head. Aroma of toasted bread crusts, toffee, and plums, plus a light pleasant phenolic clove note. Very nice malt character with notable Noble hop signatures. Flavor has a toasty, grainy edge and substantial dry bitterness. Medium-light body with some palatable residual unfermentables. A solid altbier, but doesn’t present the complexities of Uerige Sticke, for example.

Amber pour with aroma of malt, some nuts and fruit. Tastes malty, fruity, with a caramel nutty presence.

Not a bad alt beer, copper color, good lacing around the glass, very smooth & drinkable, little hints of caramel, fruits & yeast, enjoyable beer

Dark amber with a spiced hop flavor. A bit of a yeasty aftertaste. True to its description, retains full flavor throughout the glass.
