Pours a rich dark amber giving off an aroma that is very hoppy. On the palate the beer is extremely smooth with just the right amount of yeast to compliment the flavors. A good representation of the style throughout the glass and a welcome addition to my beers list. egajdzis (3626), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA

Seems like alts are "sticke" beers, ha ha. Okay. I’ll shut up now. Bottom line: good sweetness, a touch of fruitiness from the hops. Flavorful. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 2, 2006 Crystal clear deep rusty amber body with a creamy head. Aroma of toasted bread crusts, toffee, and plums, plus a light pleasant phenolic clove note. Very nice malt character with notable Noble hop signatures. Flavor has a toasty, grainy edge and substantial dry bitterness. Medium-light body with some palatable residual unfermentables. A solid altbier, but doesn’t present the complexities of Uerige Sticke, for example. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
