Tap at the Tiedhouse. At first I didn’t like this at all, but as I took time with it and it opened up it became one of the more interesting and unique sour beers I’ve had. Very very subtle in flavor and aroma, which almost certainly describes Paul’s low rating of it during a fest. A 2oz sampler of this beer is simply not enough, especially when surrounded by heavy hitter imperial stouts and the like.

The aroma is mild but very fruity/berry-y, mostly cranberry and strawberry. Ligt, sweet flavor, tons of complex berry notes, with a mildly sour finish. Super light. Juice-like, with a gorgeous pour. The sour is present but takes a back seat in this one, which is a nice change of pace and very rare to see. This reminds me of a lighter, and lightly soured Raspberry Tart. Love it, wish I could have a big bottle all to myself.

Bright red-pink beer with a sticky white lace ringing the glass. The aroma is great. Soft berryish fruitiness with a light cranberry/strawberry character. There is a soft lactic/milky tartness as well as a light floral component. The flavour is very subtle. Soft fruitiness with a soft chewy tartness. A hint of funkiness over the soft yogourty acidity. This is a very unique brew… it’s not in-your-face sour but it has a surprising depth and complexity of fruit flavour that make it very appealing.

BCTWC 09. Pours a moderate pinkish to violet, hazy with a thin white head. Aroma is dominated by off strawberries- some that may have been old- almost strawberry cheesecake aroma from a weird cheesiness going on (although no brett). More strawberry and other tart berry in the flavor, more cheesiness, wheat malt creaminess, and a weird harsh and slick finish with a light tartness. not as good as expected.
