Commercial Description:
Dark, sweet, full-bodied and chewy, this is one robust Porter. Imported English malt, as well as plenty of black, chocolate, and crystal malts make for a great dessert beer. Chocolate and coffee flavors dominate this tasty brew— it’s darn good with a scoop of vanilla or chocolate ice cream.

On tap at capones. Poured black with a milky brown head that lasted til the end. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, and coffee. Taste started off coffee with hints of chocolate and finished roasty with an alcohol kick. Very good and different.

Draft at Capone’s. Pours black with a nice tan head. Chocolate and milky aroma. Medium mouthfeel and creamy texture. Flavor of unsweetened dark chocolate and mild roast coffee with a subtle tang. Just enough bitterness on the finish to balance this beer out. Reminds me of a coffee mocha shake. A very easy drinking

Draft @ Capone’s. Pours a deep, dark brown with a nice thick tan head. Aroma is heavy with roasted malts, chocolate. Flavor is much the same, with a little coffee thrown in. All leading to a very smooth and deliciously drinkable brew. Thick and creamy.

One of the best portors I ever had. It usally the last beer I have when I am finishing up my meal at the bar right at the Inn. A must try when you visit the General Laffatte INN.

Growler from JB175. Thanks! Shared at C-bus 7. Great aroma. Tons of chocolate, wood, and some alcohol--smells like a barrel aged brew. Black body with a medium head. Full and creamy palate. The taste is just like the aroma which is great. A light bitter finish after all the chocolate and oak flavors is a nice suprise. Really great porter.
