Commercial Description:
Dark, sweet, full-bodied and chewy, this is one robust Porter. Imported English malt, as well as plenty of black, chocolate, and crystal malts make for a great dessert beer. Chocolate and coffee flavors dominate this tasty brew— it’s darn good with a scoop of vanilla or chocolate ice cream.

Rating # 100 for this. Bonus bottle from adrian910ss. Thanks Adrian. Pours a rich thick black brown with a very thin brown head. Rich chocolate malt, oak/wood, and mild coffee to the nose. Flavors of baker’s chocolate, and wood. I think this is oxided a bit :( Mouth is dry. Probably a lot better fresh still some nice qualities to it.

12oz bottle from a recent trade.....pours an attractive almost black pour with a moderate light tan head.....aroma of chocolate malt, dark fruit, and a mild roast.... smooth and creamy chocolate notes and roasted malt. an unexpected sour note in the finish. carbonation was a bit too lively and could have been more calm in nature. did not really enjoy the sourness as it disjointed the brew a bit.

12oz bottle. thanks to kan. pours black with very small head. nose of dark chocolate and plum. flavor are a bit sourish, chocolate and berry. thin body with prickly mouth feel. the carbonation needs adjusting so i could see how this would be nice on draft.

12oz bottle. Opaque brown-black with a very large light brown rocky head. Chalky chocolate and acidic roasted malt aroma. Meaty, roasty malt flavors. Undertones of chocolate. Tinges of herbal hops. Lingering roastiness in the finish, with some bitterness. Mouthfeel is a light medium, somewhat dry.

Thanks Captain Cougar for this request. Pours blackish, white head dissipitating into something more minimal. Carbbonation bubbles. Smokey deli aroma. Medium mouthfeel, easy drinking..baltic porter. With some chocolate, and secondary of coffee well integrated. Sourish in the finish.

Tap at the Tiedhouse. Rich, chocolate and espresso aroma. Sweaty and nice. Dryish, creamy, chalky palate, not as rich as the aroma but a very solid effort. Sorry for this terribly short rating, that’s all I’ve got written down and to be honest I can’t remember a damn thing about this beer.

Brewed in the USA...... Pours a sweet black color with a monster foamy khaki head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate and coca-cola notes. Taste is of malts with some chocolate and nutty notes. The mouthfeel is pretty much on the thin side and finishes with a smokey aftertaste. Not bad, but i was expecting a more robust palate.

Batch 3 Bottle - Thanks CaptainCougar! -Pours a thin black with a tiny tan head...aroma is dynomite, bitter chocolate malt, creme...flavour is great initially, dark cocoa, vanilla...it goes a bit awry at the end with an ascorbic tartness that I can only imagine is the result of a twelve malt orgy...very fun to try...
