Oct 31, 2008 Bottle served in an English pint glass. Very dark brown topped by a small but lasting tan head. Smells of chocolate cake, plums, earth, and coffee. Tastes of coffee, cocoa, caramel. Finishes dry with an earthy bitterness, a slight alcohol burn, and a touch of lactic sourness. Very tasty.

Oct 25, 2008 Bottle from Capone’s. Pours out black with a small to moderate brown head. Aroma is of roasted malt, chocolate and a slight earthy note. Taste is complex with a very nice mouthfeel, roasted malts come together with chocolate and some coffee and earthy notes going on in there also, the chocolate is center stage without going over the top. Very well done

Nose: roasted malt, smoke, blue stone, the odd smell that exists in the north in the late evening when it is not quite snowing yet but It will be in a few hours. (Message me if you know about this!) Taste: metal, water, grapes, chocolate, meat smoke.

Oct 22, 2008 bottle thanks to Bman113VR. black pour with a thin cream head. huge chocolate/roasted malt scent. very thick roasted malts with chocolate in the flavor. not too thick on the palate and an easy finish. very nice brew here.

Oct 22, 2008 Bottles thanks to zathrus13 and captaincougar. Uploaded a picture. Pours with a large, light brown head and a deep black body. Aroma of flowers, chocolate (baking), and some berries. Taste is smoke with jerky, chocolate, and something spritzy. Lightly lively bubbles with a cream like mouthfeel.

Oct 21, 2008 Bottle shared by footbalm, thanks man. Pours a dark brown body with a medium light brown head. The aroma is light coffee and roasted malts, no alcohol at all. The flavor had become a bit oxidized perhaps; a sour woody, roasted malt, some roasted coffee beans and some acidic notes. Not really sweet at all, but altogether not a bad beer. I’m skeptical of the quality of this particular beer and I’ll try to rate again soon. Not bad though.

Oct 13, 2008 12oz from zathrus13. Pours black with a 3 finger tan head. Nose is sweet and chocolaty and it matches the heavy duty sweetness of the beer. Very sweet, but very nice porter.

Oct 10, 2008 Sampled out of BrianK’s Glass. A dark beer with a thin tan head. A bit of chocolate bakers style, no real etoh or hops to note. Crisp and dry, a bit grainy maybe the malt. Enjoyable with notes of vanilla.
