Flavor is similar with touches of earth and citrus. Light bodied, soft carbonation, lightly bitter finish. This beer is what it is...a nice easy drinking session brew...

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 12, 2005 The Lure: Milky straw evokes the Kölsch origins of this ale. Subtle fruitiness and minty sweetness for an obviously well-brewed house blond.
The Festivities: A cushion-y mouthfeel offers beautiful pils malts and soft yeast brushes. Hoppiness is subdued, if not absent. The brewer’s abilities are definitely showcased in this one.
Transcendence: Surgical precision is a beauty to behold. illinismitty (1800), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 3, 2008 Draft at brewpub. Pours golden with a white head. No discernible aromas. Light bodied but clean and smooth on the palate, stopping short of being watery. Flavor of cereal grains with the right amount of sweetness. I would prefer just a pinch of more hops, but overall I found this to be a very enjoyable lighter beer. Dorwart (1829), Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA

Light citrus and malt aroma with some sweetness to the nose. Medium gold in color. Thin palate. Crisp and fruity lemon with some bready malts. Little bit grassy with a slight tartness late swallow. Some bitterness and hops presence at the end but finishes clean and refreshing. A pretty good kolsch style.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 3, 2007 On tap at brewpub, 2/1/07. Pours a slightly hazy gold body with a foamy white head. Some light lacing. Light aroma of fruity esters, light yeast, and pale malts. Flavor is pretty minimal, soft and fruity with some yeast and a light hint of bananas. Mouthfeel is very soft and light bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall, this was pretty decent for what it was, but it really didn’t fit the bill for a Kölsch. There was a pretty much complete lack of bitterness and the malt wasn’t especially clean.
