Slight detection of roasted malts and nuttyness in the aroma and flavor. Medium bodied, decent carbonation - drinkable. JAXSON (246), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 9, 2009 On tap at the General. Poured dark brown with a nice prickly beige head. Nose of subtle caramel malt, saaz hops (?), yeast. Extremely balanced flavor with some slightly fruity, yeasty elements, a good caramel malt base, and the hops. Really liked this one...I think I read that this is the brewer’s favorite of all the GL beers. It’s a highly sessionable, flavorful mild ale that was really well executed. hopdog (5611), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

Aromas of roasted and burnt malts and some caramel. Tastes of the same burnt/roatiness, caramel, and somewhat nutty. italianjohn (388), Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA
