RblWthACoz (963), Brooklyn, New York, USA Feb 10, 2008 Pours a clear, but dark brown. At first the flavor seemed almost like fruit juice. It smooths out and becomes even after some time. Sticky and slick feel on the liquid with a low carbonation. Fairly easy to drink, but a bit too unbalanced on flavor and feel. Ty5592 (1015), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 11, 2008 Medium brown color with small off white head. Nice roasted caramel aroma. The taste was caramel, roasted malt and light hops. Sweet and very good. Now, anyone who has been to General lafyette knows that they have ceramic mugs hanging from the ceiling. The bartender attempts to get mug #168 down for a patron with a long ass stick. It just so happens that mug #168 was right where I was sitting. The mug slips off the stick and come crashing down to the bar right in front of be and cuts my motherfuckin’ finger. I finish my two samples, grab my growler and head to work. Atleast the beer was good. CaptainCougar (5379), Rockville, Maryland, USA Dec 17, 2007 Pours a transparent deep mahogany with a wispy-lacing off-white head. Aroma of sweet, earthy dark caramely German malt and a touch of noble hops. Body starts rich and caramely sweet with some earthy German hop bitterness toward a slightly warming, sticky finish. A nice, true to style dunkel bock. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 8, 2005 I hate the Arnold reference, but this one poured amber with caramel malt, hop, and some fruity tastes and aromas. The food is great at GLI, and I’ve never had a bad beer there. hopdog (5534), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 23, 2004 On tap at the General Layfayette. Poured a medium amber color with a small off white head. Malty aroma and tastes. Dry finish. MaiBockAddict (1499), Good Beer Bar Deprived, New Jersey, USA Nov 7, 2004 Tap at the brewpub. Orange and clear with a thin tannish head. Clean malty aroma. Big malty flavor. Rich. Nalt lingers. Good bock. egajdzis (3602), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 12, 2004 Poured a reddish amber color with a small, light tan head the diminished quickly, and left no lacing. Aroma of dry, roasted malt, with a hint of sweetness, some peat as well. Taste was dry, toasty dough, caramel, light smoke and roast, a little bit of alcohol as well. obxdude10 (1546), Pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 2, 2003 Pretty decent bock, dark ruby red in color, very sweet nose, huge malt profile, the high alcohol was hidden pretty well in the full body of the beer, malty finish
