Commercial Description:
Our most anticipated specialty brew is back. Sour, tart, dry, wine-like Belgian-style Ale made with 400 pounds of whole raspberries and a lactic fermentation. Six months in the making, this bright red brew has a quenching finish. This batch has a noticeably fuller body and mouthfeel than previous years. $6.00, served in an 8-ounce wine glass only.

Poured a burgandy color with a purple tan head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of sweet rasberries and hay. Taste of sweet raspberries, ending in a dry, sour, lactic finish. This needs more wild yeasts.

Ruby red color, very little head, nice raspberry nose, hints of berries in the flavor as well, way too sour for my tastes though, sour aftertaste as well

Aroma is subtle dominated by raspberries. Flavor is masked by tartness and sour aftertaste but once you get past that initial shock, its not too bad.

The only beer I’ll drink out of a champagne flute.

Med body, darkish red color, fizzy no head. Served in a champagne flute. Clean, sweetish straightforward raspberry aroma. Strongly sweet raspberry flavor with hints at sour ale in the background. Possibly too fruity. I’d rather have the sour ale more predominant and the raspberry there just enough to cut the tartness.
