| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 9, 2006 For only being 2.8%, this is rediculouly good. I would guess that this would be anywhere from 5-7%. Pours a medium to dark amber with a nice beige head. Aroma is lightly fruity from the yeast, estery, light apple and plum, raisin, caramel malts, and tea-like. Flavor is moderately sweet with crystal malts and lightly yeasty. Nice clean bitterness in the end. Leaves a good mouthfeel and the body is so much bigger than you would expect for a 2.8% beer. egajdzis (3626), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 3, 2006 Poured a hazy brown color with a thin, off white head that left sparce lacing on the glass. Aroma of dried fruits, banana, chocolate, yeast, vanilla, and spices. Taste of dried fruits, notably plums, chocolate, some roast, some citrus fruits, lightly bitter, and a dry yeasty finish. Somewhat thin mouthfeel, but for a 2.8% ale, this is awesome. I read that we shouldn’t expect this as a trend, but Chris, if you’re reading this, this is an awesome LA beer that has nice flavor. hopdog (5576), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 6, 2006 On tap at the GLI. Poured a deeper and muddy brown color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of yeast, dark fruits/cherries, and some chocolate in the background. Tastes of dark fruits (cherries and plums), yeast, and just all around fruity. Thinner body. When I read Low Alcohol, I expected to see a clear yellow beer with non-descript aromas and tastes; all I can say is wow, this was a ’Low Alcohol’ beer. This definitely shows that a Low Alcohol beer can be brewed with a decent aroma and taste. Ty5592 (1015), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 14, 2008 Draft at the pub. Medium brown color with medium off white head. Aroam of caramel, and nutts. The flavor was the same with good lightly roasted nutty finish. Thinner body. This was no bad for a low alchol brew. JFGrind (1352), Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 31, 2006 With most General Lafayette beers coming in over 6% ABV it was refreshing to have a low alcohol offering. Nice malty beer, medium body with crisp flavor. Lafayette’s Escape may be lower in alcohol but it has full flavor I expect from a GLI beer. jeremytoni (1106), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA

Surprisingly nutty flavor. VERY thin and watery, which is not surprising. The brewer gets props from me for pulling off a semi-decent beer at only 1.9%.
