illinismitty (1790), Nashville, Tennessee, USA May 3, 2008 Draft at brewpub. Pour dark amber with some reddish hues and a wisp of a head. Aroma of belgian esters and lavender. Flavor of pale Belgian malts and a touch of spice. Phenolic finish that is heavy on a flavor that I refer to as flower petals, a characteristic that is hit or miss with me. Well brewed and quite interesting. checkmatei1 (629), Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 14, 2008 Draft: Poured a dark amber color with not a lot of head. The aroma was fruity with hints of bananas and spice. The flavor was smooth and lightly yeasted. A very easy beer to drink, one I would highly recommend. jason (1620), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 8, 2008 Draft. Poured a deep golden body with thin head. Aroma is light fruit, spices. Flavor is lightly crisp hops and spices. Finishes dry. jeremytoni (1067), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA Mar 31, 2008 From the tap poured amber with a good amount of head. Nice flavor sweet with a good finish. Cletus (4999), Connecticut, USA Mar 24, 2007 Fresh growler courtesy of JB175. Pours red with a creamy off white head that dissipates down to a thin ring of bubbles that maintain a great lacing on the glass. Smells of bananas, cloves, coriander, cumin, cinnamon, some nice fruity elements (mostly different orangey hints), and doughy. Tastes of coriander, lots of herbs, and earthy. Reminds me of a combination of a white beer and Belgian ale as there are many white beer qualities lingering in this one. Hints of pepper and lots of spicy elements come into play on the finish along with some nutty qualities. Mouthfeel is velvety and not overly thick. The alcohol on this one is not noticable at all. Very rich and full bodied for a 5% ABV beer. JB175 (1654), Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 17, 2007 Cloudy amber with medium whitish head. Aroma is sweet with hint of banana and yeast, but not overwhelming. Sugary flavor that gets better the longer you drink it. Above average Belgian-style brew. PilsnerPeter (2585), Flushing, New York, USA Mar 10, 2007 Tap at Barcade: Light orangey amber pour, a bit cloudy. The aroma is simple. A sweet yeasty character with predominately banana fruityness. This stuff is a standard Belgian Ale profile. Overly carbonated, sharp bubbly mouthfeel. Flavor has sweet hints of overly ripe bananas, mild hint of bubble gum, later peppery notes with tons of clove. The finish is chalky and awkard bitterness. Nothing memorable. TomDecapolis (3122), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 18, 2007 Sampler at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy darker amber with an average creamy off white head. Aroma of banana, clove, tropical fruits, Belgian yeast and spices. Flavor of dark fruits, Belgian yeast, some hop bitterness and a dry mouthfeel.
