This is one of those "cult beers," especially in the New York area, with people "growing up on the stuff." Frankly, I don’t understand the obsession. Mouthfeel was soft, yet chalky at the same time. Moderate carbonation tries to make it crisp, but doesn’t completely succeed. Light bitterness in the finish is about all it can offer. No major off-flavors to disturb, but no real "on-flavors" either. Just kind of blah.

Pretty good aroma in the right glass. Standard American aroma, hoppy/sweet. Big frothy head that lasted quite awhile and laced. Golden-amber color. Fizzy, watery palate. Weak and watery taste. Some sweetness but not all that appealing. Mild finish and after.

This stuff’s pretty bad. But it is cheap so what do you expect.
