| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 1/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 7/20 | Mar 7, 2008 Immediate strong ’generic beer’ scent. Like the smell of the beer store when you walk in. Corn hops and a bit of malts. Smells like 100 other generic lagers. Looks like 100 as well. Golden pour with a bit too much head. Reminds me of a beer ad. Taste is pretty much as expected. Watery, over carbonated, corny, and generic. Not the worst generic lager I have had, but not the best. In there with Canadian, MGD, Blue etc. Actually there is a slight aftertaste of malt that I kind of like. Would be good for a ’I feel like drinking an entire 24 night" puboflyons (606), New Hampshire, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Mar 2, 2008 From a 12 fl. oz. (US) can. No. 1677B2-5. Pours atypically yellow with a very fluffy white head that dissipates quickly. A lot of carbonation. A slightly grassy aroma. A little heavier than the typical watery mass-produced pale ale. Pretty typical pale ale. I don’t know why I like Genesee products so much because there is really nothing to them. Maybe it’s the idea that they are still a regional brewery and that harkens back to days of old when regional breweries were the customary way to get your beer fix. While it is superior to M-B-C, it really is a typical pale ale. $2.39 a six pack in my area. crazyvin (1252), New York, USA

Not at total drain pour, but what can on e expect from a cheap pale ale. Poured a very carbonated yellow color, looking as if some one poured miller lite into seltzer. It had a thin white head. Which had some retention, probably having to do with a high carbonation presence then anything else. Aroma was of malts, no hops. The flavor was mainly corn, but it was crisp and light. A very clean yet watery finish. Not good but still better then Bud. cheapdark (2017), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 3, 2008 From a 16 oz can we call a pounder. This stuff is only 50 cents a 16 oz can over in ohio. That’s a dollar a quart! Drank lots of Jenny back in the days of youth, I wonder if it is the same recipe? The aroma is clean yet has perhaps a hint of something I may call cream corn, but just barely. Has a head that is more attractive than most of your pale lagers. Good clean taste impact, Not offensive and there is no sign of bitterness or offensiveness at all. Enjoyable, fun and easy to get along with. Has a tight palate that comes across as playful at times. Nice session brew. Even tho the color of this is ubiquitous pale yellow american beer it has a continuing rolling carbonation that is readily apparent and sustains the head. For this I’ll give it a 2 instead of a 1 in the appearance category. Easy drinking session brew, just as good as I remember. Very good above average carbonation, welcomed tingliness. Finish is easy to accept and fortunately does not leave any undesirable preservative finish. Not bad! oteyj (761), Canterbury, New Hampshire, USA

| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/20 | Dec 31, 2007 This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a extremely small sized head of frothy bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a transparent softly carbonated orange colored body. The aroma was non-existent. The crisp and clean mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish. The thin flavor contained notes of malt mild hops and corn. A horrible one that I would rather not drink again. ABUSEDGOAT (1934), California, USA
| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 1/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 5/20 | Dec 28, 2007 Draft: pale yellow, diminishing fizzy head. Aroma is corn, grain, the usual junk. Light bodied, harsh carbonation. Haven’t had a billion others like this... Cornfield (4940), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 1.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Dec 10, 2007 Very pale bodied with a steady stream of bubbles but no head to show for it. The aroma is some kind of sugared old vegetal thing. The flavor throws in some bad fruit, a suggestion of malt, and mineral water. Splendid, really.
