Decent malty aroma though not much flavor. De-fanged malt with some dankness. Pretty non-descript, amber lager. bitbucket (2035), Kirkland, Washington, USA

As my wife, a former Rochester resident explained, people don’t buy Genny because of the fabulous quality and taste. But this isn’t regular Genny, and you gotta love the 70’s throwback artwork, so maybe...
Pours clear light amber with a lacy white head. Light body and medium carbonation. A slightly nutty quality to the aroma and taste, and not much else. Almost no bitterness, which puts it into the OK seasonal lawnmower beer category. cheapdark (2026), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA

Pour is nice and it has a slightly darker edge on the pale lager color, perhaps some brown in there. Good appearance out of a can, decent head at first, then remains creamy. Taste is better than I expected. It has some bock attributes but comes across more like a dark lager with a jenny twist. Has some lacing on the glass. Smooth and rather well behaved. Like able. Has decent fruity carbonation on the palate. Finish is not bitter, nor lasting, gentle-man like. Overall a decent beer, even when warm; and isn’t that the test for a cheap American beer?.... warm…… heheheh? For 40 cents per can, better get a case of this stuff for lawn mower, or snow shoveling. Cheap and almost dark, good buy. joekinty (263), rockledge, Florida, USA

Clear chestnut pour with mahogany highlights and large brown head. Sweet caramel and grainy. Cloying on the palate and a little metallic. Sweet can though. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 28, 2009 Can. Poured a ruby amber color with a rapidly fading head. The aroma is a mild caramel, somewhat floral. Tasting reveals a mild, sweet caramel note with a dry, citrusy, hop note in the finish. There is somewhat of a tin characteristic. All in all, a very drinkable beer. I didn’t hate this. decaturstevo (2007), decatur, Tennessee, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 23, 2009 Deep copper pour with a fluffy off white head and lace. Aroma is medium caramel malt with a light hint of sour. Flavor is light caramel malt that tries to be sweet but ends up being almost dry. Not much bitter but a tad. Finishes pretty clean but is a tad foamy and thin for my liking. Overall a very drinkable beer.
