JediMindTricks (239), Hampton, Virginia, USA Oct 18, 2009 Bottle. Dark golden color - clear. No aroma. Bland. Very little flavor. Clean tasting, but that’s about it. caresville (106), Vernon, New Jersey, USA Oct 12, 2009 drank about 10 of these the other night straight outta the can. tastes just like i remember it from back in the day... metal and corn. it did the job though!! Enjoyit (1695), Vadum, Denmark Oct 8, 2009 Pale yellow of color with a nice white head. An aroma of fruits, malt, sweets and weak hops. A flavor malt and barley, crispy and sparkling. angrybeerman (107), Dublin, Ireland Oct 4, 2009 Had a nice golden colour although the head was pretty poor. Aroma was a little fruity. Tasted pretty creamy and sweet with hints of vanilla. Not particularly well balanced though. Finish was very bitter perhaps too much so. GoBlue (93), Falls Church, Virginia, USA Sep 28, 2009 Pale gold color with thin fleeting head. Aroma is fairly neutral with some corn and just s hint of hops. Flavor is mellow with the same balance of light corn and hops as the aroma. Mouthfeel is effervescent with a carbonation bite. Cream ales aren’t the most exciting style but this is a nice example. PaulsPissed (32), Dublin, Ireland Sep 28, 2009 looks a nice gold colour, doesnt smell much of anything. taste is sweet creamy and reminds me of a wheat beer, a long dry bitter aftertaste reminds me of lemons pretty good overall. johno (83), Galveston, Texas, USA Sep 28, 2009 Clear deep gold, white quickly dissipating head. Kind’ve cheap-y aroma, straw, not much going on with the palate, the vague creaminess seems out of place for the flavor profile, bitter. Poor. Heathen (723), Riverside, New Jersey, USA Sep 27, 2009 THOUGHTS: Finally trying a cream ale. In a way it was almost like flavorless cream soda. Very easy to drink, but so is water and I don’t want that when I’m expecting a beer. Only a half step up from macro pale lagers since it wasn’t so offensive. No real hops.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a light to medium, clear golden yellow with nice carbonation and a small white head that mostly diminished. The aroma was light to moderate grain, slight paper, light berry-like fruitiness and a hint of citrus. The initial flavor was lightly sweet and acidic; while the finish was very lightly sweet, slightly sour and a tiny bit bitter with a short duration. There was honey, grain, a hint of grassy hops and a little citrus. The light body was slightly creamy at first then fairly dry with light fizzy carbonation and a dry and light to moderate astringent finish.
