| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 30, 2005 Bottle: Vibrant yellow, translucent, moderate white fizzy head, strong carbonation, spotty lacing. Soft honey on the nose, slight hay or straw. Fairly sweet malt flavor, but thats about it. Moderate body and mouthfeel. Sweet finish. Not great, not bad, but very forgetable. Very boring this one is.   I expected worse tho...

No aroma to speak of. The taste was slightly like bitter apple juice. Not much to it other than that. I guess it had to be drank. lionelmandrake (4), Silver Spring, Maryland, USA does not count | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 20, 2005 You know...I really don’t understand all the "low" ratings for this beer. When considering the price one pays to drink this particular concoction, it’s very apparent what a bargain this is. Genesee Cream Ale has a great mouth smoothness, and while sometimes reminiscent of a cheaply made American lager going down, the finish is like a 1950’s era drugstore cream soda. You can’t argue with that for $9 a 12 pack. roder60 (1034), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 6/20 | Sep 14, 2005 Pours a very pale carbonated yellow with a good amount of fizzy white head. Aroma is sweet, metallic, and slightly milk/corn mix. Flavor is watery, very corn tasting with slight creamy lactose flavor. Overall, not terrible for 13 for a 30 pack but not too good either. dp (512), uniontown, Ohio, USA

Kind of a nasty odor/aroma. I think I’ll wait another 20 years before I purchase this again. jmuhops (663), Winchester, Virginia, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Aug 22, 2005 Pours gold with a one-finger head. Surprisingly, there is some cream and no corn in the aroma. A little bit of alcohol is present. Flavor is very bland, but nothing offensive. A hint of cream. Decent mouthfeel. Coming from the same guys who make Genny Light, this isn’t a half-bad attempt at an actual beer.
