I actually still have one of the old stubbies on a shelf. I remember having this on tap 25 years ago and I thought it was exceptionally smooth and quite good. Today’s version is overly carbonated with a straw gold color. A bit of malt in the flavor along with some corn. Still goes down real easy. Ughsmash (4030), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA

Appeared similar to almost any other domestic macro-brew. There was nothing distinct in the nose, and the beer did not seem too inviting. Mouthfeel was smooth and creamy, as advertised. Flavor was slightly bitter, with a hint of corn. No other flavors were noted. Aftertaste lingered, and was not at all pleasant. MikeT (76), Hollis, New Hampshire, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Apr 28, 2005 Highly carbonated pale blond color and typical American beery aroma and taste. One of the more refreshing mass market swills, but leaves a lasting alchohal aftertaste. 30 pack for $10 makes it a hot summer beer. heemer77 (4304), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Apr 27, 2005 Light gold color with very little carbonation. A thin white head on top. The aroma is grain with colby cheese and menthol. The taste is smooth caramel and corn. There are also hints of apples and some menthol. For some reason, this makes me think of a watered down malt liquor. MolsonMan (58), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

As harsh and corn-tinged as any cheapie--but the cream ale moniker came with a taste that wasn’t quite like the usual downmarket beer. punkeedo (465), San Antonio, Texas, USA

Tasted creamy, of course, with some nice malts. Enjoyable, but wouldn’t buy it again. I like Belhaven’s Best and Sam Adams Cream Stout better.
