I remember this stuff from college days and it seems to have improved in this latest offering...pours a clear light gold with a frothy head that disappears to a lace and ring, effervescent in the glass. Smells of malt and some adjuncts (corn?)
Tasted dry and citrus up front medium light malty body finished dry with a lingering after taste of the adjuncts corn or rice or something.
A refreshing drink served cold but I don't think corn belongs in an ale. This is still one of the better US commercial brewed beers.

This one is tolerable, has a soft corny sweetness. No hops, and the usual chemical macro flavours. SledgeJr (3003), Omaha, Nebraska, USA

Good foamy head, corn yellow appearance. UPDATE 3/2007: In the bottle. Has a vegetable aftertaste. Fairly corny which is pretty noticable up front. The flavor maltiness is diminished by the fizziness and saltiness. Kinz (2221), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA

Medium yellow, OK head. Aroma faintly of corn flakes and something mildly locker-roomish. Flavor really never bothered to show up. Didn’t get any of the sweet notes others did. Blech, but there was plenty of room for this to be much worse. RERATE: 10/14/07 - slight improvement, perhaps because from a fresher bottle. Only real change in note is that there was a definite sweetness to the finish, along of course with all the corn. rudolf (1787), Buffalo, New York, USA
| 1.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/20 | Feb 2, 2004 Tasted as part of the ratebeer chat 40 night. Sour smell that seriously reminds me of the bathroom at a pro sports event. The label claims that this is a premium beer.. Riiight. Overly carbonated, sickly sweet. Sour malt finish. hershiser2 (923), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA

Golden, white head, looks ordinary and cheap...
...it is cheap, smell that... cheapness and nothingness...
...and taste that backwashed crud...
...and then smack yourself for drinking such crap. desurfer (1069), Pinellas Park, Florida, USA

Dusty cornhusk smell. Nothing beckons me to continue, yet... Corny, DMS, and sickly sweet flavor. Syrupy palate. This is sugary shite beer. Worse than expected.
