Orange gold with a small dense head. Aroma is sweet, corny, bland. Flavor is sweet and corny and some rice. Like a cheap malt liquor.

I purchased a forty ounce bottle from my local Kroger’s, and can clearly state that there isn’t much to this beer. Bland tasting, very light malty aroma, I really can’t even recommend this brew to some of the ’hood wino’s (it’s only 5.6 ABV). Oh well, at least it’s something to fill out the refrigerator!

Genesee Ice is a clear light golden beer with a thin white head that has good lacing. The aroma is of funk, lemon and corn. It’s light bodied and quite smooth with a clean finish. It’s lightly flavored and not too funky. The flavor is mostly lemon and corn. It’s not too bad for an ice beer, but for $4.50 a twelve-pack-- you can get Genny Bock for the same price right now. Come on.

From the 12 fl. oz. can no. 0779 R 14:42. The pour is sort of between pale yellow and pale gold with good clarity and lively carbonation. There is a constant puffy, white head. The aroma is a bit grassy and grainy and maybe a tad bready. A little watered down but not horrendous. The alcohol is not as evident in the taste as other ice beers I have tried and this one has a touch of the hops, corn, and a reasonable finish.

Oh goodness, how I didn’t want to try this. Pours pale gold with a fizzy, dissipating head. Aroma of nothing and corn. Flavor is surprisingly mellow-sugary, with a palate that is fuller than I expected. Overall, not a bad offering considering price, alcohol, and relatively inoffensive finish. That said, let’s not forget this is trashy beer. I MAY, if situation demanded, consider purchasing this beer again.

It taste twice as nice when you puke up Genny Ice. Just like its cousins it is just a macro tasting beer that is there for the sole purpose of getting trashed. Why on earth anybody making over minimum wage would by this stuff other than that is one of lifes great misteries.

Mine was labeled as Genesee Ice. Red and white label, but not the label we see here. A big 28 oz clear tumbler of jenny ice. Looks like any other pale American lager. Cost was $1.50 for a glass bottle twist off 40. The kings measure, not liters mind you. Ooh baby, not too common around these parts. Found this at the gas station on my way to Vintage. This is not the kind of beer you’ll find at vintage. Bob was more interested in selling me EKU. There is a quarter inch creamy head on this that won’t go away. Taste is reminiscent of many ice beer but is not too offensive. Typical cheap pale lager flavor which is not too offensive. Much better than most of the beers from Milwaukee’s Melanie. Finish is a bit corny and does not have much more than a little processed feel. Overall, the session was better probably because of the 5.2% alky content. S3L2F2T5O8

500ml can 5.5% called Genesee Ice beer. Poured pale straw colured with small white head. Moderate grainy aroma. initial sip was metallic. Light cereal flavour. Rather light for an ice beer. Clean finish.
