Niko100 (81), New York, USA Nov 6, 2009 Dark cider/reddish color; Medium body; Aroma of malt and brown sugar; Flavor primarily of malt & caramel, a slight hint of hops; A little on the bland side; For a cheap macro brew this is not bad at all. Snot19kilo (81), Oakwood, Illinois, USA Oct 27, 2009 Amber in with a soft white head.
No aroma other than just some bitter hops.
Flavor is run of the mill hops and a slight bit of caramel. It’s a thin beer, some what on the watered down side but when you at some no name hole in the wall bar and this is the best beer they have you will drink it. I use to buy this beer a lot when i was younger just because my friends wouldn’t drink it. I still will take it over any of the macro rice beers any day. twistedviews (67), California, USA Oct 26, 2009 not the greatest irish red in the store, but its okay for an irish-based amber. not a bad beer but a little too plain tasting. dionysus (95), Arizona, USA Oct 19, 2009 Bottle pours amber with a creamy off-white head. Nose is pretty much non-existent with some muted notes of caramel. Taste is........the same. Not a whole lot going on. But that certainly doesn’t qualify it as a bad beer, just simple. voiceofreason (44), New Jersey, USA Oct 15, 2009 I always thought this was coors light with red dye. Was it ? It seemed fashionable at the time. mabel (2530), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 11, 2009 [2493-20090926] Tap. Light fruity grains aroma. Clear, amber brown body with a long-lasting off-white head. Fruity grainy malt flavour. Medium body. Bland, but great for a soccer game.
(@ Toyota Park; Chicago, IL) robertjm (399), El Cerrito, California, USA Oct 7, 2009 Pours a fairly large thick head. Dark red color. Bit of chill haze perhaps? Aroma starts out like that of cream, with an ever so slight sourness to it. Micro fine carbonation bubbles. While the flavor has traits of what you’d expect from a red, it’s more along the lines of a brown ale to me with slight banana-esque lingering aftertaste. Stale body perhaps? (It was on the close-out shelf afterall) 0o9i (326), Reno, Nevada, USA Oct 2, 2009 12oz. Pale-copper colored body with a medium-smallish bronze-hued eggshell head of creamy foam that fails to lace. Aroma of corn sugar, musk, amber malts. Mouth is medium with a quick, inadequate zip of carbonation. Fairly dry finish, although wet in the mouth. Flavor is generically malty with a hint of caramel, sugar, and a very mild hop profile. There is also some alcohol flavor, like cheap vodka--not something you would drink. Tolerable.
