Here’s the deal: Killians Irish Red won’t rock your world, it’s not an amazing beer. However, when I hold "Good Beer" Parties at my house (remember that not everyone is a beer lover), I say the minimum quality beer is Killians Irish Red.

Bottle. Red amber with medium off white head, ok retention. Smells of caramel, earthy hops. Caramel, dirt, a hint of bitterness. Smooth and drinkable, an acceptable red lager.

12oz bottle pours a beautiful dark garnet liquid with a very small effervescence. Aroma is malty, sweetness, and toast. Nice medium mouthfeel. Again slightly sweet malty and biscuity come through in the taste. Pleasant but not complex or long lasting. Very drinkable and quite reasonably priced.

From a keg at my buddy’s St. Patty’s day thing. Reddish brown, creamy foamy khaki head. Not much in way of aroma. Somewhat malty flavor. Palatable enough to get through a cup. Sometimes this beer makes me wonder how Molson/Coors is still in business and how people can spend money for this. Comparing crap macro lager to McDonald’s, say, isn’t fair because McD is at least tasty if not entirely healthy for you. There’s very little point to this beer unfortunately.

12 oz. bottle. poured into a glass, first thing i noticed was the beautiful deep red color, and the smell of the malts. slight head that didnt seem to last. overall, i love the taste of this beer, the slow roast of the malts seem to make a huge difference. Great beer for the price

12 oz bottle. Actually decided to pour this one. Pours a beautiful brownish red with a small white head that disappates very quickly. Smells of weak malt, bits of caramel, and typical lager smells. Tastes like a lager (I don’t know how else to describe it), but darker than usual. Hints of metal too. Overall a good lager, but only good to drink quickly and coldly.

A nice red that compliments steak well. A good example of an Irish red. Quite nice.

Tap at Wing house. Light malt aroma. And weak malt body. Not bad as long as it’s really cold, because as it warms it becomes musty and stank. Boo.
