Its a decently attractive beer with a good amount of flavor for a lager. Being a lager, though, the aftertaste will be a bit sour. The taste gets stale pretty quickly so I wouldn’t recommend more than one if you are at all concerned about flavor. It’s more of an "I’m in a pinch but I hate Budweiser" beer. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 28, 2009 23 oz draft on tap at BW3 (Frankfort, IL). Out with a couple friends for quantity, not quality. Pours a nice darker amber, clear, decent white head that settles to a small amount. Aromas are slightly sweet malt, carmel and toasted bicuity feel, light hop. Initial is lighter medium body, crisp graininess with light carmel and biscuity feel. Cereal and caramel. A touch toasty, very small hop profile. Largely malty, but light on sweetness and easily quaffable. A touch bitter on the finish. Not bad. JustinFromAL (114), Birmingham, Alabama, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 27, 2009 Orange amber pour with a chunky off-white head. Has a malty hoppy taste in the distance but mostly just watery. If you’re faced with all the macro’s or this then take this! jamvin23 (162), chicago, Illinois, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Feb 26, 2009 Bottle. Orange amber color with little to no head, that disappates very quickly. Fruit and oak flavor. hayduke (1654), Eureka, California, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 25, 2009 Considering this is made by the same company that makes the nearly undrinkable Coors, you would expect this to not be very good. Pours a red brown with a nice robust off-white head and reasonable lacing. Nose of caramel malts and light floral hops. Medium mouthfeel. Flavor is of light roasted malts, and the finish is not much finish. Drinkable brew and refreshing. Like most beers of this type it needs to be cold. bwide (5), Alabama, USA does not count | 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Feb 23, 2009 From the bottle. Hadn’t had one for a long time, and see no real reason to have one again. Middling beer that would be fine if it was really cheap; otherwise the off-putting aftertaste kills it for me. Looks good in the glass, though, and initial reaction is not negative. njbfr (105), New Jersey, USA
