12oz bottle and can. Pours a dark amber color with a fizzy head that tapers off. Slightly malty, sweet and roasty but also rather watery, leaving a thin mouthfeel. I would put this in the same class as Michelob Amber Bock and Yuengling but I would prefer those two over this one.

I love this stuff, more for sentimental reasons than any. But still, its a good fundamental beer for a bbq or campout, not a true macro but not too crazy as to scare your friends... overall a good choice, I think.

Not too bad of a beer. Nice red color, and a pleasing aroma. Tastes better than most common bar beers, making it an accpetible choice for a night out with the guys when every one else is drinking Miller lite.

On tap. Pours a clear reddish amber with a small head that diminishes to nothing. Aromas of red licorice, toast, sweet malt, and caramel. Taste is mostly red licorice with some caramel and toffee. Aftertaste is very sweet and short. Medium palate, watery mouthfeel. Unbalanced overall.

12 oz. Pours a crystal clear dark amber with a dense but shallow tan head. Musty, dusty nose. Smells chemicalish, but the notes are hard to place. Not appetizing, but not offensive...nor natural or healthful. Light, watery body. Nutty, brown bready mid palate. Dry finish. Not much to talk about, but drinkable enough, I guess. Does anyone else remember this as the aficionados choice in high school
