Aroma is pleasant and it tastes decently of bread grains. I was rather suprised considering it’s brewed by Coors. Not a bad beer, there’s just so many better beers out there. Killian’s Irish Brown Ale was better in my opinion, really miss that stuff. Cheers! Gypsy19 (634), California, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Aug 6, 2008 Not bad for a lager in my opinion. Overall, not that great. Very subtle caramel flavor, almost no hops detected. A fuller version of some better american lagers. Drinkable, though utterly forgettable. Hudspart (371), Hudsonville, Michigan, USA

It thought that I would give this beer another try as I have not had it is a long time. Not very good - tastes like a weak pale lager and kool-aide. Fyrdraca (15), Greenville, South Carolina, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Aug 2, 2008 Not great, but definitely drinkable. It looks nice, read with a decent white head. The flavor is of caramel and rather malty. It’s a bitter watery, and just doesn’t have much of a kick to it. It’s not bad, but it’s even more definitely not good. smjohnst (203), , Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 1, 2008 This is a very good irish red especially for the price. This DEMOLISHES the Sam Adams Irish Red. Then again...sam adams is awful. unclemike (834), Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Aug 1, 2008 12 oz bottle - Pours amber with a reasonable off white head. Aroma of caramel malts. Flavor is malty sweet caramel. On the palate this is medium bodied and slightly watery. This isn’t terrible. It just isn’t that good either.

| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Jul 27, 2008 This beer is less than impressive. Other posters got it right with the term "drinkable". If I’m going to get an "Irish Red" brew, I’m opting for Sam Adams’ version. This is not horrible, but its not outstanding. Actually after another sip,... its not even good.
