Having tried both Bottle, and tap I would have to say that I would only reccomend someone drink KIR off tap. It has a nice amber color, and pours with little head (that being said the head is lacking to an excess). I would order a pitcher or two for most anyone to join me barside, though I would nary buy it for personal tastings at home, the bottled flavor seems to be lacking some vibrance which is given the drink from tap. donaldrmason (2), USA does not count | 1.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 2/20 | Sep 1, 2007 Don’t let the fancy bottling fool you. Killian’s Irish Red is an extremely disappointing beer. When I drink a beer that makes me wish I was drinking water, it has failed me. The only thing that I will give this beer is that it lives up to its name, Irish Red, by its color. GlenVargas (120), El Paso, Texas, USA

Killian’s is just another one of those boring beers that merits a boring rating: nothing offensive, nothing surprising, nothing outstanding. Of course, it’s one of Coors’ better products, but that ain’t no thang. kp (8399), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

Pours reddish amber, with a moderate sized tan head. mild caramel malt aroma. very sweet caramel flavor. Straightforward and boring, but a step above the average mass-produced beer. jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA

An clear reddish amber appearance, tight foamy off-white head, decent retention with a minimal amount of sticking, plentiful supply of flowing tiny micro bubbles.
Faint, clean nose, just hints of toasted malts, caramel and grains, a light fruitiness.
Smooth, if not a tad watery, medium bodied mouthfeel, softly crisp and clean finishing. Dry, thin toasted malt taste, grainy with a light backing of caramel. Mild hop bitterness toward the end, a fruity tea-like flavor before turning softly spicy at the end.
For a macro dark lager, it’s not that bad, passable drinkability. The website for Killian’s is (http://www.killians.com).

Aroma is weak but slighty hoppy. Flavor is mild with some hops mixed in. Not the best beer but a nice beer to have when cooking or grilling. Icommonsewer (122), TUCSON, Arizona, USA
