I was drinking some 40’s one night, Miller no less, and after finishing them off I had one of these... I almost shat at how good it was compared. I already knew it would taste better, but this would have rated a near perfect 5 had I rated it that night. jtodd5dot1 (32), Marina, California, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 4, 2009 Having cut my teeth years ago on Irish Red (Weinhards), I have a partial bias toward the style. The color is a dark red amber. The head lasted for a good amount of time for a lager. Flavor is bold and full. Could drink these all day. mike67 (91), , New Jersey, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jul 27, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Pours copper color with long lasting off-white head. Soda like carbonation. Very light aroma of floral hops, caramel malt, and alcohol. Light body. Flavor is also light: floral hops caramel malt and alcohol (too much for the style). Finish practically non existent. I still remember I used to like this beer when I was Coors Extra Gold fan. phaleslu (575), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

Very light aroma of hops and malt and some sweet vanilla. Flavor of hops, roasted malt, nuts, and vanilla. Not bad, not great. Definitely above average for a macro. ALCOHOLNIZM (68), WARWICK, USA

It was So good we didn’t care they were gypping us out of an ounce.... The taste now seems a little different than what I remember , more lighter? It’s still a very good beer / lager... Don’t hesitate to buy it ! DJMonarch (6941), Northwich, Cheshire, England

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 9, 2009 Bottled, BB 6/28/09. Poured clear lighter orange with a short cap of white head. The aroma picked up artificially-sweetened, toasted caramel and vanilla with ever-so-faint chocolate and light earth. The flavor had the same caramel with none of the chocolate.. touches of nutty character and more vanilla around.. bitterness was basically non-existent. Light-bodied with high, forced carbonation on the palate.. nicely-toasted.. this was by all means drinkable.
