Jan 29, 2006 Swing-top bottle 2002 vintage poured a clear reddish brown with a minamal amber head. Aromas of bourbon, dark fruit and brown sugar. Palate was medium bodied and crisp. Flavors of dark fruit and bourbon with a flat, lingering bourbon finish.

Feb 27, 2003 Tap @ Toronado Barley Wine Festival from an oak barrel from June 2001 to January 2003. Brown reddish color with a brown head. A little harsh and woody. Some earth in the aroma and flavor. A challenging barley wine and in a form I'm less familiar with.

Feb 20, 2003 On tap at the 2003 Toronado Barleywine Festival. Brewed in an oak barrel from 6/01 to 1/03. Smells like a freshly cut Christmas tree. The oak flavor really stands out and knocks into you. Mama said knock you out. Thick and smooth. Light fruit flavors of canteloup, plum and bubblegum (I *know* this isn't a fruit). A lot of bourbon flavor. Experimental but a good barleywine.
