Cask at Banbury Beer Festival 08-05-08 Pours very, dark brown with a thin off white head. deliciously hoppy on the nose and mouth, quite indulgent for a mild, bags of flavour great interplay between the hops and chocolate roasty malts, very good.

Cask, Banbury Beer Festival. Deep brown, lots of frothy tan head. Warm old-fashioned chocolate candy aroma, delicate citrus and passionfruit hops. dark earthy sweetness, viney licorice mouthcoating finish, lingering citrus. Wow! My first of the festival, and in the end, my favorite.

Cask conditioned - gravity dispense - Coventry BF. A black coloured beer with some off-white wisps of head. The aroma is hoppy but with some sweet notes, possibly oatmeal? The taste has some herbals notes. Mint and rosemary. Marshmallows on a toasting fork. A fruity interesting beer.

Cask conditioned at Coventry Beer festival ’08. Dark brown red beer with white head. This was an absolute belter on the Satrday of this festival, rich and fruity, full of blackberry notes, smooth as silk, touches of sweetness and malty biscuit, but so well developed. I loved it and my beer of this festival.

Cask, gravity dispense, at 5th Globe Beer Festival, Dunstable, Bedfordshire. Very dark red brown with a small off white head. Oddly delicate berry fruit aroma. Punchier taste with ash, dates and sundry other dark fruits, Smooth and unusual. Liked this.
