Commercial Description:
Yakima grown Czechoslovakian Saaz hops give this refreshing pilsner a spicy and earthy hop aroma. Malt character is accentuated by a German Lager Yeast that ferments dry but round and complex.

Tap: Pours a clear yellow color with a nice white head. The nose is snappy with some crisp hops and a light husky malt note. The flavor is lightly crisp and hoppy with a fruity and husky malt note. The finish is clean and brief but the sweetness sticks with you. Almost like it wasn’t fermented cold enough.

On tap at Taphouse. Pours a nearly clear yellow with some lacing. Weak smell of sugar and some fruitiness. Taste is slightly stronger, spicy hops, a bit of citrus, with a bitter aftertaste. Not impressed.

Spicy saaz nose that is really quite pleasant and floral. Lacking in the malt body after such a nice nose. Watery and bland. Disappointing.

On tap at the Tap House in Seattle. Clear gold in color. Aroma was fruity and bready; slightly sweet with a light bit of hops. Flavor was pretty dry and bready. Hints of fruit throughout and some flowers in the finish. A solid and easy drinking beer.

Draught at Eastside Club. I appreciate most beer styles but am not normally a fan of pilsners. This beer changed my attitude. It is a light yellow in color, so light it drew derision from my porter-drinking companions. The flavors are surprisingly bold and well-defined but clean. I first noticed a dominant graininess followed by the characteristic Czech hoppiness. Very refreshing.

Draught @ WABF 2008. Pours a pale yellow color with a small white head. Sweetish malty slightly bready aroma with some hoppy hints. Crisp sweetish malty grainy aroma with grassy hoppy hints. Crips malty finish with some hints of bitterness in the aftertaste.
