DougShoemaker (2614), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jul 12, 2008 Nose is corn and malt, golden, pours a slim white head. Taste of malt is better than the aroma, a biscuity quality, light bodied, balanced wuth a touch of bitterness. Fair. Better than expected. (Ooops, I just realized I didn’t have it "ice cold" as suggested on the can.)
matt7215 (578), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada Sep 18, 2008 473 ml can from the LCBO. pours gold with a small white head that is quickly gone. light fruity aromas, with a touch of grain. the flavours are similar. no hops in either the aromas or flavours. only good for pounding purposes. better options at lower prices availible. Sammy (3141), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 17, 2008 serviceable lager for a warm day. Below avergae mouthfeel, and softer carbonation. Light colour, much bubble bath of foam. Neutral aroma. A malt job.Nothing special. tupalev (2311), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 16, 2008 Can. Pours a nice dark yellow, big frothy white head that does not go away and lots of streaming bubbles - looks good. Light grainy, very lightly hopped aroma. Taste is decent - light grain, light malt, but a good dose of it, and very light hops at the end. This is not too bad really from a fresh can and cold. I had a sample at a beer event earlier this summer that was awful but served in the right conditions, a good cottage beer for sure. Spab (56), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 5, 2008 473 ml can. Pours a clear gold with quickly disappearing white head. Sweet biscuity aroma. Taste is likewise biscuity but verging towards corn. Lightish body. Didn’t really light my fire. DerWeg (444), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 3, 2008 Fishin’ trip beer. Golden pour and smooth fine carbonation. Bit of hay-like hop and lightly fruity aroma. Mostly a sweet lightly malty taste, a touch grapey, and barely any hops on the flavor. Only a hint soapy. Inoffensive.
