Papsoe (9999), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 28, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Beautiful, clear mahogany colour with a small, creamy, beige head that leaves a fine lacing. Lightly spiced aroma with notes of roasted malt. Flavour also contains some roasted malt with a touch of caramel. No real sweetness, this beer is surprisingly dry and in spite of the alcohol it appears rather light and easygoing. 280805
HermanW (491), Coevorden, Netherlands Jul 30, 2008 Dit smaakt niet naar een abbey dubbel. Er zit een beetje weinig smaak aan. Borresteijn (526), Amstelveen, Netherlands Jul 23, 2008 On tap. Reddish brown colour, nice beige head. Aroma of caramel, dark fruits. Flavour is sweet, brown sugar, dark fruits. A bit thin, but an OK dubbel. note666 (200), Eindhoven, Netherlands Jul 4, 2008 300 ml bottle. brown-red colour. off-white head. taste is fruity, not like other dubbles. TrefwoordPunk (366), Leiden, Netherlands Jun 16, 2008 Bottle 33 cl. Pours a dark red with a small head and the aroma of malts and sugar. The taste is full sugared, with a sour note in the end and it’s not really full-bodied like a real dubbel should be. Just a nice beer, but nothing out of the ordinary ha1ag (233), Netherlands May 24, 2008 Bottled from AH in Mestreech.
