rauchbier (2874), Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, England Dec 18, 2006 Bottle, Arendsnest, Amsterdam November 2006. Ruby red brown, moderate white head and gentle condition. Big brash fruity figgy nose with some underlying burnt toffee notes, quite sweet in the mouth with a slight bitter roastiness, low sweet caramel and roast barley bitterness in the finish.
Bullit (580), Glasgow, Scotland Aug 31, 2008 Red-brown colour, small off-white head. Aroma has caramel malts and some dark fruits. Flavour is very plain, of caramel malts and brown sugar. Have to agree with HermanW, not much taste on this one. chilangoglobal (97), Wagerningen, Netherlands Aug 30, 2008 I found the aroma bit spicy, but entire. Dark colour with a white and frothy head. Taste is bit alcoholic with notes of roasted malt, Creamy body. HermanW (493), Coevorden, Netherlands Jul 30, 2008 Dit smaakt niet naar een abbey dubbel. Er zit een beetje weinig smaak aan.
