Clear medium red brown color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, bread, milk chocolate, nutty notes, moderate to light heavy brown sugar, earth and root crops notes. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (050508)

May 24, 2008 Thanks to kappeldave123 for this beer at Zinisters tasting. It was nice being the first USA’ers to rate this beer. Very black and dark with a small head. Nose of malt and medicine. Taste is of a full body, chewy, strong burnt malts, sticky. Different but nice.

Pours a deep, shoe-polish brown with an aroma of Jello chocolate pudding snack pack; flavor follows suit but adds a touch of molasses. Average mouthfeel. Nice beer that looks like a lion but purs like a kitty.

May 20, 2008 Thanks to kappeldave123 for this beer. Dark caramel and toasted nut color with a thin brown head. Nose was dead on snack pack chocolate pudding (thanks Kagg!) with bready malts. Flavor of molasses and chocolate with a smooth soft finish.
