| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 23, 2009 On Cask. Poured a dark velvety black with a light cocoa head that did not last long. Aroma was predominantly chocolatey and sweet maltiness, lactose I was told, caramel and slightly coffee. Flavor was chocolate and roast, slightly coffee, with a hint of cinnamon biting at the end. Body was full and slighlty viscous but lacked any serious carbonation due to cask conditioning. From previous reviews I would assume this is not the same naughty boy but an improved version. The best offering so far. I would go back for seconds. whaleman (2171), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 5, 2007 Muddy black body with a sudsy tan head. Aroma of cocoa, roast and weak coffee. Medium-high sugary sweetness in the flavor with prominent roast and light bitterness. Starchy texture. Most drinkable offering from G.G. on both my visits, but lacks the depth of malt that can really make an oatmeal stout stand out.
